Hound13 does not officially support mods or save editing

Hound13’s official notice says DragonSword: Awakening does not provide official support for mods or save-editing tools. The notice warns that modifying files can lead to progress corruption, crashes, unrecoverable states, or problems when the game updates. That warning is the controlling fact for this guide. A community listing, download count, or successful report cannot turn a third-party modification into an endorsed or guaranteed-compatible feature.

The scope includes more than dramatic overhauls. Save editors, injected tools, replaced files, and other modifications can all interact with a changing game build. This page does not rate any file as safe, approve an installer, or promise that removing a mod restores a save. Compatibility can change after an update, and a tool that launches successfully can still alter progress in a way that becomes visible later.

Back up progress before changing files

The official notice recommends periodic save backups. A backup should be created before installing, updating, or removing third-party changes and kept separate from the live save location so that a failed tool cannot overwrite both copies. This guide does not publish a hard-coded save path because paths can vary by operating-system setup, account, and game update. Confirm the current location from an official or directly observed source before copying anything.

A backup is risk reduction, not a compatibility guarantee. Record the game version, mod version, and date alongside the copy so you know what environment produced it. If the game updates, pause and verify support before loading a valuable save with old modifications enabled. Cloud synchronization can also propagate a changed file; understand the client’s current sync state rather than assuming a local copy will remain untouched.

Nexus Mods is a community catalog, not official support

Nexus Mods hosts a DragonSword: Awakening community catalog. That source is labeled approved-community on this page and is linked only as an original catalog destination. Its existence establishes that community uploads are listed; it does not establish the safety, quality, maintenance status, authorship permissions, or current-build compatibility of any particular file. Read each original listing and its update history before considering a download.

This site does not mirror mod files, screenshots, author instructions, or installation text. It also does not select a “best mods” list without direct evaluation and permission-aware sourcing. If a future guide mentions a specific community project, it must name the original author, exact version, checked date, supported game build, and unresolved risks. The official warning will remain visible before discovery links so readers do not mistake catalog access for Hound13 endorsement.
