The full Steam game is released
The stable comparison point is the full release: the official Steam store records DragonSword: Awakening as released on July 22, 2026, and Hound13 published an official launch announcement. Someone arriving from Steam Next Fest coverage should therefore treat demo behavior as historical unless it has been rechecked in the released build. This page does not describe the demo as the current product or assume that every captured menu, balance value, or limitation survived launch.
The approved source registry used for this guide does not contain a direct, versioned demo changelog that itemizes every difference. It would be misleading to fill that gap from memory or autocomplete terms. Exact demo content scope, availability, save transfer, progression cap, balance, technical behavior, and network features remain not yet verified here. The released store page is the authoritative starting point for current advertised features.
What still needs a direct comparison
A proper build comparison must identify the exact demo version and full-game patch, then repeat the same route or system under controlled conditions. Content additions should be separated from changed tuning, interface revisions, performance differences, and bug fixes. Save transfer needs an explicit source or a documented attempt; a demo save file existing on disk does not prove that the release imports it safely or completely.
Co-op requires the same caution. The released Steam page lists Online Co-op, while the roadmap announces further multiplayer work for Hunt and Raid. Neither source states what the demo supported or supplies a mode-by-mode before-and-after table. Party size, matchmaking, unlock requirements, and demo network access are therefore absent rather than guessed. Use the current co-op guide for the live-versus-announced status that the approved sources can support.
Demo searches do not prove console availability
Searchers may combine “demo” with PS5 or Reddit. Those modifiers express an information need; they do not establish a PlayStation demo or turn a discussion into an official feature record. Hound13’s launch FAQ says the current release is through Steam and console versions are being prepared without a decided first platform or date. The PS5 guide therefore records no confirmed PS5 release date and no verified PS5 demo.
Community discussion can help identify questions, but a current comparison should still rely on reviewed builds or first-party change notes. Until that evidence is collected, the table keeps a short list of known and unknown states instead of presenting a comprehensive difference log. Readers deciding whether to play now can use the review guide for verified launch features; readers following future additions can use the roadmap, where announced items remain distinct from released ones.
